In a unique career shift, Keith Arneson, owner of Pinnacle Properties and an Epcon Franchise Builder in Ames, Iowa, transitioned from the healthcare field to home building, bringing a detail-oriented perspective from his previous career. 

From Healthcare to Home Building

Keith’s interest in home building started during his years in healthcare. He began by building entry-level homes, gradually moving into high-end custom builds and even large-scale apartment developments within his university community. His passion for real estate eventually led him into land development and, most recently, Epcon franchise projects. “It might not be as big of a jump as you think,” Keith shares, noting his lifelong interest in construction.

Because of his interest in home design concepts, Keith had followed Epcon’s development for several years before officially joining their network. “I was always drawn to the side courtyard concept,” he explains, sharing how he initially tried to implement a version of it in his own builds.
