Epcon hires Dwight O’Neal to lead Nashville market
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Aug 11, 2022) – Epcon Communities has announced its entry into the Nashville market. This is the sixth market for Epcon Communities corporate entity.
Epcon builds luxury ranch homes with private courtyards that are popular with 55+ buyers. Epcon communities offer low maintenance living with many communities offering amenities like clubhouses, pools, pickleball courts, walking trails, fitness centers and more based on the size and the location of the community.
Epcon will hire approximately 12 to 20 people in Nashville over the next few years, with plans to open its corporate office in Davidson County this year. Epcon is looking at land in Franklin and Mt. Juliet for its first communities in Nashville.
“This new office marks the first time Epcon Communities has entered the Nashville market as the corporate homebuilder,” said Phil Fankhauser, president of Epcon Communities. “We are quickly expanding throughout the Midwest and Southeast, so Nashville was a perfect location for Epcon to start building.”
Epcon Communities now builds in Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis, Indiana; Charlotte, North Carolina; Raleigh, North Carolina; Atlanta, Georgia; and Nashville with additional metros on the horizon. Epcon also has more than 80 Franchise Builders that build in 24 states.
Epcon has hired veteran real estate developer Dwight O’Neal to lead the Nashville market. O’Neal most recently worked as Vice President of Land Acquisition and Development for The Jones Company of Tennessee and was previously Vice President of Land at Century Communities and Principal Managing Partner, Land Acquisition and Development at Realty Trust.
“Dwight brings years of experience in Nashville homebuilding, which will be crucial as we open this new office,” Fankhauser said. “With his local land acquisition and development experience, Dwight will help Epcon identify the best parts of Middle Tennessee to build our communities.”
